78-year-old Masafumi Nagasaki is the sole resident of a tropical island located at the southern tip of Okinawa, Japan. He has escaped from civilization to live on Sotobanari Island, because he has decided that the demands of nature are more important than the expectations of others or the will of society. VICE magazine investigates the lifestyle he’s leading, and why he chooses not to wear clothes.
